Christmas Card Pictures

While we had Jordan with us, we had him take pics for our Christmas card.  I really wanted our new dog to be apart of the picture which made it extra challenging.  How come everyone else can get their dog to sit and pose for the perfect, All-American family photo?  It is hard enough to get all 3 boys to smile let alone get a puppy to be still.  Here are some of our attempts at a family pic:

Ben's brother, Jordan, came for several days and we had so much fun.  He hardly had a moments peace, since the boys were constantly wanting to play with him.  He was such a trooper!!

This Thanksgiving was a little different for our family, because it was just the  5 of us.  I made a small turkey breast with broccoli cheese and rice and hashbrown casserole and pumpkin pie.  We had a good day of hanging out together and going to the park.

The next day we headed to the Houston Aquarium and had a blast!  The boys loved looking at everything, especially the white tiger.  We also went on the shark train which is where a train goes into a tank of sharks.  Landon and I went on the ferris wheel and had such fun together.  He wasn't scared at all of how high we went.

Landon LOVES the PBS show called Wild Kratts.  So we decided to have a Wild Kratts birthday party.  The show is about animals and the two brothers, Chris and Martin Kratt, turn into the animal that they are investigating.  I actually was able to find several blogs that had done a Wild Kratts party and came up with some fun ideas.  I made the kids their Creature Power Suits  and Creature Power badges.  I just used black felt and cut out a pattern and then hot glued colored felt onto the black to look like the suits in the show.  I made rhino horns out of gray poster board for the rhino races and drew a rhino for the game.  The kids all had so much fun!

The boys and I made an impromptu trip to Tyler for Labor Day weekend.  Mom (aka BB) treated us to the waterpark at the Villages Tyler and we had so much fun!  I even got to enjoy a "big kid" water slide.  Hudson loved the lazy river, but Landon couldn't get enough of the kiddie water slides.
