TaeKwonDo - Yellow Belt Test

We enrolled Hudson in a TaeKwonDo class to help with self control and self discipline. He has really enjoyed it and even used a technique the other day to control his anger. He had his first belt test last night and did great! He is oficially a yellow belt - YEA!! To see more of his TaeKwonDo pics go to http://picasaweb.google.com/brothermclain

Bike Day

Hudson is one of those kids that wants to do everything pefect the first time. I feel certain that he could've crawled before 10 months and walked before 14 months, but he just wasn't ready. He didn't want to have to "practice" crawling/walking, he just wanted to do it. :)
That same attitude has carried through to bike riding. We have been working with him on riding his tricycle that he got at 2 1/2 for a long time. He didn't quite get the pedaling down at first so he wasn't interested. Well, it is Bike Day at school today and I hated to see him go without a bike and he is too big for his tricycle (the one that Landon is riding). So we decided to get him a bike as an early Christmas present from his great grandparents, Nanny and Granddad Charles, and he was SOOO excited! He wants to practice, even though he would rather go flying down the driveway instead of pedalling. :) Thanks Nanny and Granddad Charles for this fun gift!
